Ban Evictions Through September - YES

While the pandemic may feel like it's mostly over for many of us, others aren't so lucky. For Corte Madera residents whose housing situation remains unstable due to lost income or unemployment resulting from the pandemic, I voted to prevent these individuals from being evicted from their homes through September, which will allow them to take advantage of what housing relief funding remains at the County.

Come the end of September, it looks like pandemic-related housing support will draw to a close, but sadly, this in no way signals the end of our housing problems in our community. I am hopeful that we will be able to seize on this momentum over the coming years to further tenants' rights, and to make sure no one is unjustly evicted from their home.
