I voted to approve sending a letter to the Marin County District Attorney requesting action against the sale of motorized vehicles falsely labeled as legal e-bikes. Many families in Corte Madera have unknowingly purchased these vehicles, believing them to be compliant with state law. However, these bikes exceed power and speed limits, making them illegal for minors to operate without registration and a license. The letter supports law enforcement efforts to address this consumer fraud and improve safety for youth in the community.
