Communication with residents is one of the most important tasks of local government, and yet, for all of Corte Madera's history, there has been no one in charge of maintaining that critical connection. I voted to change that, by elevating our Code Enforcement Manager to add Communications Director into his role. I believe that this positive step forward will help make residents lives easier by providing a clear point of contact for both code enforcement and communications issues, and by ensuring that there is always someone at Town Hall dedicated to clear communication with the community.
We have a lot of work left to do on the communications front, but I believe this is a huge step in the right direction, and an integral part of our communications overhaul.
