Award $3.3M Contract for Pump Station Repairs - YES

The San Clemente Pump Station is one of the most important pieces of Corte Madera’s flood control system. It collects stormwater and feeds it into the San Clemente creek, which flows into the Bay. This project aims to fix a number of structural deficiencies that have occurred around the pump over the years, and to prevent future leaks or breakage as the pump station ages. I voted yes to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, JMB Construction of San Francisco, with an estimated net construction cost of $3,300,000. The main portion of construction is estimated to start in the spring of 2024, and I am glad this project will extend the service life of a crucial pump station that helps keep our homes dry!
