Appoint Valerie Boshoer to Planning Commission - YES

The Corte Madera Planning Commission has had a vacancy following the tragic passing of a beloved member last year. While that seat has been temporarily filled by another former member, the Town conducted a robust recruitment process to find a permanent candidate to fill the seat for the remainder of its term.

After using all the Town's communication channels to advertise the open recruitment, we received three strong applicants, all of whom interviewed for the position before the Town Council tonight. While it was a difficult to choose between three bright and dedicated members of our community, I voted for Valerie Boshoer, based on an impressive interview performance that showed thoughtfulness, energy, and professional experience in the design and construction space—all critical skills that will serve our community well.

I want to thank all three applicants for their time and sincere interest in serving the Corte Madera community; we are truly lucky to live in a town with such a strong spirit of volunteerism and community service!
