With our town half in a flood zone and half in a fire zone, Corte Madera is almost uniquely vulnerable to the threats of climate change—and we are taking aggressive steps to combat that threat.

One overarching goal is to fight climate change by reducing our community's carbon footprint, and gas-powered cars account for a large portion of our town's emissions. As we work to incentivize the adoption of electric vehicles, part of that means making EV's more convenient, which means providing more charging stations around town.

I voted yes on this ordinance to pave the way for more charging stations by streamlining the permitting process for their installation.
